It’s one thing to be loud to be heard, but how many of you have been loud just so people can finally listen to you?
How many times have people been loud to you after they are told about themselves by you?
It’s that last set that, if it happens enough in a person’s life, they risk never speaking at all. They keep it in, they find ways to numb the pain or ignore it, to the point where self-destruction is inevitable.
And as much as you want to shout your head off because of what you have been keeping in, you may be like me and do not want to sound as brass or even as ignorant as the people that are guilty of that idea.
This is not to dismiss any time that I had been in the wrong, but if they’re going to yell at anybody for having an attitude when they’re the one that inspired it, maybe the only attitude that should be watched is their own. But that’s not going to happen because they value control over being controlled, especially by those who they favor control over.
But that’s why there wouldn’t have been such thing as watching an attitude if all the emotions were allowed to be expressed in their company.
But they’re not. Never will be.
And they wonder why people are hesitant and quiet around them. Because those of us that have been around their kind for too long know that words are not enough for them. And action against them will have consequences, no matter which side of the prison or morgue any of us are on.
Sometimes just speaking out your truth in a quiet tone is considered loud to them, because they know what type of screaming and hollering will come their way by people who know what you know.
Some may know more, but your voice, your text, however you want your rage expressed may be enough to make others open up.
And the guilty, they’re going to try and shame you about it. They want you to follow their script so badly, they want you to forget that you are not just the writer. You’re the producer, the director, and the shareholder that also wants this script to go a different direction.
So, metaphorically or literally, when you stay loud, they’re going to have a hard time matching your octave, especially when they learn how long you have been this way.
They are going to try and scare you back into the hole they believe you would never dig yourself out of, because they want you to believe that you belong there.
You didn’t, and you know it.
They know it, and they fear life after your extraction.
They are more afraid of you than you should ever be of them. And since you already know shouting to them is a losing battle, win the war by being loud to the world.
